    Archpriest Igor Prekup is the rector of the parish of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Paldiski, Estonia. He graduated from the Estonian State Art Institute (now Eesti Kunstiakadeemia) in 1986, specializing in easel graphics. He was baptized in 1985 at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Tallinn, where he soon became involved in reading, singing in the choir, serving in the altar, and working as a night guard.

    In 1988, he enrolled in the Leningrad Theological Seminary, followed by the St. Petersburg Theological Academy in 1991. He completed his studies in 2000 and defended his thesis in 2004 on the topic "Teaching Christian Ethics in Senior High Schools. (Experience of compiling methodological manuals)."

    He was ordained as a deacon in 1990 by Metropolitan Alexy (Ridiger) of Leningrad and Novgorod, and as a presbyter in 1992 by Bishop Cornelius (Jacobs) of Tallinn and Estonia. He has served in various parishes of the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

    Archpriest Igor is the author of eight books and numerous articles on church history, theology, and pedagogy. He has been teaching religious studies at secondary schools since 1991 and philosophy at the Lasnamäe Gymnasium in Tallinn since 2000.
