    VK McCarty

    Anglican Theologian and Lecturer at General Theological Seminary

    V.K. McCarty is an Anglican theologian who leads retreats, lectures at General Theological Seminary, and contributes to the Institute for Studies in Eastern Christianity. She is the former Acquisitions Librarian at General Theological Seminary from which she graduated. She is the author of From Their Lips: Voices of Early Christian Women (Gorgias, 2021) and preaches at St. Gregory the Theologian Eastern Orthodox Church and St. Paul’s Carroll St., both in New York City. Further published work includes: “Wisdom from the Desert for Spiritual Directors,” in Presence: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction v.18, no.3, “In the Glow of Archangel Light” for Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, Long Island, and “Beauty for the Rest of Us: Re-considering Gregory of Nyssa’s On Virginity,” in The Concept of Beauty in Patristic and Byzantine Theology (Theotokos Press).
