    Volodymyr Bureha

    Vice-Rector for Scientific and Theological Affairs at the Kyiv Theological Academy

    Volodymyr Bureha, born in 1971, is a Ukrainian historian and theologian currently serving as the vice-rector for scientific and theological affairs at the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He completed his undergraduate studies in history at Sumy State Pedagogical University in 1996 and obtained a Candidate of Theology degree from the Moscow Theological Academy in 2004. Since 2008, he has been a faculty member at the Kyiv Theological Academy. Additionally, Bureha holds a Candidate of Historical Sciences title since 2009. Throughout his academic career, he has taught various subjects, including homiletics, the history of Local Orthodox Churches, and the history and theology of the Catholic Church and Protestant denominations. He is the author of several textbooks focusing on homiletics and the history and theology of the Catholic Church. Bureha is a member of the Synodal Theological and Canonical Commission of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
